A scorching 7-0 success catapulted Long Sutton to the top of the Spalding and District Billiards League last week.

They brushed aside hosts Pyramid A to record a whitewash win, with Mick Cooper (O40) and Sean Swinburn (O20) making breaks of 32 and 28 respectively.

Consti B are a point back in second after crushing friendly foes Consti D 7-0. Mick Johnson (O160) shone as ever, making breaks of 73, 48 and 41.

Crowland B are up to third after edging past Gosberton 5-2. Rob Childs (O190) and Alan Sharman (R80) were their winners. Childs also made a super 82 break in a back game, as his team beat Crowland A 5-2.

Consti C were also big winners, seeing of Consti A 7-0.
