The peerless Mick Johnson reeled off yet another brilliant break in the Spalding and District Billiards League last week.
Johnson, who plays off an O160 handicap, made a stellar offering of 79 as his Consti B side were beaten 4.5-2.5 against club rivals Consti A.
He was the sole winner for the ‘B’ side, with Robert Adams (R4o) and Lindsay Porter (R40) the ‘A’ side victors.
Both sides remain in the top four, but it’s Long Sutton who continue to set the pace.
They cruised past Holbeach A 7-0 in a game of many fine breaks. Holbeach’s Hugh Pinner (O170) led the way with a cool 44, while Sutton duo Sean Swinburn (O20) and Mick Cooper (O40) made 39 and 33 respectively.
Towards the foot, Crowland A earned a timely 5-2 triumph over Donington to register only their second success of the season.
Derek Tinkler (O20) and Terry Everet (R20) pocketed breaks of 28 and 27 respectively en-route to frame wins.
