A dazzling 87 beak from Rob Childs was the highlight of the latest round of Spalding and District Billiards League fixtures.

The Crowland B ace, who plays off an O190 handicap, also added 67 in a 5-2 win over Consti B – but was the only player on his team to lose a frame.

Mick Johnson (O160) was also in fine form for Consti B, making a super 82 break as his side dispatched Gosberton 7-0 in a re-arranged game.

Leaders Long Sutton were also 7-0 winners at Pyramid B, with Sean Swinburn (O20) top scoring with a 27 break.

They lead title rivals Crowland B by seven points.

Elsewhere, Holbeach A ended a four-game losing streak by thrashing unfortunate Gosberton 7-0. Hugh Pinner (O170) starred with a 36 break.
