Crowland A turned the Spalding and District Billiards League table upside down last week as the basement boys ended Consti A’s perfect start to the new season.

Having won their first four games, Consti went into the clash with winless Crowland as clear favourites – but Terry Everet (R20) and Neil Burton (R80) delivered frame wins for the hosts in a 5-2 triumph.

Everet’s 25 break was the highlight of the clash, with Burton making a cool 23.

Elsewhere, Hugh Pinner (O170) made a 55 break to help Holbeach A see off Gosberton 5-2. Rob Childs (O190) was also on-song with breaks of 49 and 47 as Crowland B beat Consti B 5-2.

• Results: Gosberton 2 Holbeach A 5 (554-593); Holbeach B 2 Holbeach C 5 (503-562); Crowland A 5 Consti A 2 (595-558); Consti B 2 Crowland B 5 (556-565).
