CONSTI B missed a chance to heap a little more pressure on stuttering Spalding and District League leaders Pyramid B last week.
With the table toppers having lost their last two games, Consti had closed the sizeable gap a little in recent weeks.
But they saw their three-game winning streak ended by Holbeach B, who handed them a 5-2 reverse on their own baize.
Chris Chamberlain (R80), Ashley Bunn (R90) and Nigel Ward (R100) all made breaks in the low 20s for victorious Holbeach.
Third-placed BSC A also came a cropper against Pyramid A, who put paid to their four-match losing run.
Eric Wyer (R40) was the only Bourne player to lose a frame, but his 31 break was the best on offer in the match.
Elsewhere, Crowland B’s Rob Childs (O190) reeled off the biggest break of the week.
He pocketed scores of 59, 49, 34, 32 and 31 in a 5-2 home success over fellow club side Crowland A.
Consti A were also on winning form, beating Holbeach C 5-2 – despite a 26 break from Brian Bowell (R20).
Basement boys Donington are five points adrift at the foot after losing 4-3 to Gosberton A.
