CENTURY breaks used to be a rare feat in Spalding and District League – but Mick Johnson is reeling them off for fun this season.
Having already set the bar with a dazzling 126 earlier in the season, an unfinished offering of 106 is the latest masterclass from the O160 handicapper.
It came in Consti B’s 7-0 whitewash over friendly foes Consti C, with magic Johnson also pocketing breaks of 70 and 56, while team-mate John Keeton (R30) added a 32.
But second-placed Consti B are still a mammoth 24 points behind leaders Pyramid B, who didn’t find fixture number 13 an unlucky one.
They cruised past Gosberton A 7-0 to maintain their 100 per cent record, with Martin O’Connor (R20) and Darrell Read (R40) making breaks of 23 and 24 respectively.
Elsewhere, the closest game of the week saw Consti A edge out Pyramid A on their own baize. Lindsay Porter (R40) trousered breaks of 29 and 21 to help seal a 4-3 success for his team.
Holbeach B were also winners as Nigel Ward (R100) managed a 23 break in a 5-2 victory over BSC, while Crowland B beat Donington 5-2.
