Saracen’s Head rider Ben Stafford will once again compete in the prestigious British Superbike 12-round series riding under the Silicone Engineering banner.
This year he will be partnered by Isle of Man TT star Dean Harrison, forming a great combination for the 2016 season.
Harrison will concentrate on the road races as Stafford puts his focus on the BSB series.
Both riders will be at Silverstone for round one and from then on Stafford will have to juggle the mechanic’s role for all the road races as well as sitting in the hot seat for the BSB rounds.
Stafford will this year move to the Supersport 600 class where there is some intense competition but there is far more track time with three races over the four-day events.
The team have invested heavily in new machinery for the 2016 and all of the road bikes have been built from 2016 models, so testing has been limited, but the official BSB test rounds proved to be beneficial as there were some engine issues that showed early in the testing.
This weekend sees the first of the 12 rounds where both riders will be hoping for some good results.
