SOUTH Lincs Dragons enjoyed a once in a lifetime game at Wembley Arena against an all-star team from the Philippines.
The team, led by player/coach Frazer Wallis, lost by 11 points against their touring opponents at England’s most iconic venue.
It was the Philippine side’s final game of a British tour – with the Spalding-based Dragons chosen as opponents because they have a Filipino native in their ranks.
Wallis said: “It was awesome to play at Wembley, the stuff dreams are made of.
“It’s probably the only time most of us will ever get to play there.
“The Philippine team were absolutely huge. Their league is very strong too, so it was a tough match.
“Overall it was a great day out for everyone involved with our club.”
The Dragons are currently enjoying a super season and are top of the Lincs League.
