YOUNG hotshot Abbie Spinks has fired her way to a second UK record.

It came for the Silver Spoon Bowmen archer in a World Record Status event in Cambridge.

The 14-year-old national champion showed good form once again to win her section, shooting new club, county and regional records.

It has since been confirmed that her effort in the Fita 50 class was a UK record.

Abbie now holds two UK records to go with a pair of national outdoor titles and two national indoor titles.

Meanwhile, also going well for the club is Amy Gott (12), who shot a superb Bristol 5 round at a Sherwood Archers event.

She won her section, also being highest scoring junior of the day.

Amy is putting in consistently high scores and fast becoming Silver Spoon’s up and coming new starlet.

Both girls make the step up to a new age category with their birthdays this month.

A club spokesman said: “Amy is a well-accomplished archer and has the ability to compete at the next level.

“She is a bright girl who has the right attitude, which will bring even better results.”
