HOLBEACH and District Angling Club’s Curry Cup proved a spicy event as Jonathan Stubley and Andy Goodger battled out a dramatic tie at Bell’s Bridge.
There was nothing to separate the duo at the final whistle, with both taking nets of 13lbs 14oz on Sunday.
Both caught a mixture of roach, skimmers and perch – meaning absolutely nothing was between them.
The evergreen John Ivatt was just off the pace in third place after catching a respectable bag of 12lbs 05oz.
Stubley and Goodger will have to battle it out again as they were paired against each other in the KO Cup semi-final.
The winner will meet R Smith in the final.
This Sunday sees Holbeach DAC’s Curtis Cup take place at Bell’s Bridge (draw 7.30am).
