Bourne Town v Huntingdon Town (Monday, 3pm): DARREN Munton has paid tribute to his side as they prepare for their final fixture of a turbulent 2010.
Bourne were demoted from the UCL Premier Division in the summer on a ground grading issue, prompting a mass exodus of players.
But club legend Munton insists that he wouldn’t swap his current squad for anyone else.
He said: “The lads we have here are with the club for the right reasons and that’s what it’s all about.
“We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but we’ve had a decent season so far.
“There are no superstars, but we have a great team spirit – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
And Munton’s charges are raring to go should this fixture beat the weather.
A decision on the state of the Abbey Lawn surface will be made tomorrow (Friday) to avoid any Christmas confusion for fans and players alike.
Should the UCL Division One clash beat the elements, Bourne’s player/boss will have a full squad at his disposal – and perhaps a few bonus additions, with the likes of Alex Robinson back from University.
