Goal-machine Andrew Tidswell is refusing to get carried away after Holbeach United’s impressive Easter return.
Tidswell took his tally for the season to a massive 34 with a hat-trick in Saturday’s 6-1 win at Huntingdon Town and a key brace in Monday’s 3-1 derby win over Spalding United.
That leaves the Tigers in the box seat for the UCL Premier Division title with five games to go, but the hitman insists that it’s just a case of two more games being ticked off.
Tidswell said: “We knew the two games over Easter would be very tough against two in-form teams, so to come away with six points is a testament to the squad and management. I thought Jonny Allen and Ben Brown at the heart of defence were immense over the two games, but every player played their part.
“We’re going away to Long Buckby this weekend and need to back these six points up. People may expect us to win, but we need to apply the same application in that game as the two matches over Easter.
“It’s just two more games ticked off as ‘JC’ would say! We are still very much grounded and know what we need to do.”
