A penalty shoot-out settled the Pigott-Drury Memorial Cup at Carter’s Park on Saturday.

Holbeach United were five minutes away from beating Grantham Town until Jack McGovern’s second goal made it all-square.

He had put the Gingerbreads ahead after only two minutes but Ash Fuller’s superb strike levelled just before half-time.

Jake Gibson’s header on 72 minutes made it 2-1 but the Tigers went on to lose 4-2 on penalties with Gary King and Fuller missing from the spot.

Spalding United were beaten 4-1 at home to King’s Lynn Town with David Bell converting two first-half penalties.

Jordan Thomas halved the deficit but Ross Watson and Michael Frew sealed the win for the Linnets.

Deeping Rangers came from 2-0 and 3-1 down to earn a draw against Newmarket Town.

Scott Bogusz and Rob Lee reduced the arrears then Spencer Tinkler tucked away a last-minute penalty.
