UPDATE: HOLBEACH United are still in the frame to seal a loan deal for King’s Lynn Town’s Alex Street after holding talks with the highly-rated keeper.

The Lincolnshire Free Press understands that Street has spoken to Tigers boss John Chand over a switch to Carter’s Park – and further discussions are expected to take place today (Friday).

But the move is far from done, with Wisbech Town also believed to be interested in securing the promotion-winning stopper’s services, who is on contract at Lynn.

Holbeach are in urgent need of a keeper, with regular number one Lee Overton suffering a hamstring injury in Wednesday night’s 4-2 win over Deeping Rangers – forcing striker Andrew Tidswell to don the gloves.

With the Linnets confirming the capture keeper Danny Gay from Sudbury, Street is seemingly out of favour at The Walks.

Should Street join the Tigers, he would still be available to play for Lynn in the FA Trophy.

Holbeach have yet to officially comment on the potential signing.
