Striker Ashley Stevens is being lined-up for a possible return to Holbeach United.

The Deeping Rangers hitman, who netted 25 goals in 40 appearances for the Tigers last season, is one of three targets for boss John Chand.

UCL Premier Division leaders Holbeach are looking to strengthen after losing Jason Turner to Kettering Town – and have made seven-day approaches for Stevens and St Neots attacker Ade Yusuff.

A third un-named forward, who plays in the Southern League, is also on Chand’s radar.

He said: “We need another striker signed up and I’ve got a few approaches in.

“I’ve not spoken to anyone yet, but we hope to get someone in before our next game.”

Holbeach are scheduled to visit Long Buckby in the UCL Premier Division on Saturday (3pm).
