Cogenhoe Utd v Holbeach Utd (Saturday, 3pm): RELEGATION threatened Holbeach kick off a run of make or break games with this trip to their bogey side.
The Tigers also face basement side Rothwell Corinthians twice, as well as struggling Yaxley in the next month.
But John Chand’s side, who go into the clash just above the drop zone on goal difference, badly need a result to ignite their survival charge.
And they would probably rather have faced anyone other than Cogenhoe, who they have only taken four points from in their last nine UCL Premier Division meetings.
Chand said: “The table doesn’t lie, we’re down towards the bottom for a reason.
“When you’re stuck at the bottom everything becomes harder. You even hear Premier League pundits say that a five-yard pass becomes tricky when a player’s confidence is shot.
“At the moment it seems like we’re just expecting something to go wrong. That’s something we have to cut out of our game.
“But the next few weeks are massive for our season, if we can get a win on Saturday we have every chance of putting a run together.”
Chand will have to do without key duo Wes Lewis (ankle) and Mitch Griffiths (ban), while defenders Mark Courtley and Shaun Baker are unavailable.
But new signing Luke Kennedy, who has joined from Wisbech Town, made his bow against King’s Lynn on Wednesday and should start.
Both he and exciting reserve team player Martin Gordon are pushing for a place in the starting line-up.
Cogenhoe ended a run of seven winless games by beating Northampton Spencer 3-1 on Tuesday.
