Spalding RFC’s Midlands Two East (North) clash at Belgrave is the only top sporting fixture to beat the weather today (Saturday), with all United Counties League football fixtures involving our sides rained off.
The UCL Premier Division matches between Spalding United and Huntingdon Town, Kempston Rovers and Holbeach United and Peterborough Northern Star and Deeping Rangers were all postponed on Saturday morning because of waterlogged pitches.
Bourne Town’s UCL Division One clash with Rushden and Higham United was also called off, with a host of matches in the Peterborough League and Boston League also hit by the weather.
In rugby, Spalding RFC’s top-of-the-table tussle at Belgrave passed an 11am pitch inspection and will go ahead despite the deluge.
More on the matches that beat the weather will be online later on www.spaldingtoday.co.uk, with further updates via @LFPSport on Twitter.
