Heavy rain put paid to Sunday’s action at the Bourne Junior Football Tournament but Saturday’s matches went ahead.

The Under 10s competition attracted 19 teams and was won by Nottinghamshire side Fernwood, who beat Wyberton A 5-0 in the final.

Ten teams contested the Under 11s age group where Hampton Sky beat Feeder Soccer (March) 1-0 after extra-time in the final.

The Under 16 girls event featured six teams with Hampton A beating Hampton B 1-0 in the final.

Saturday’s heavy overnight rain, adding to Thursday’s flash flood and further rain in between, caused safety issues with the car parks and the pitches with an estimated 86mm of rain falling between Thursday and 6am on Sunday.
