Graham rides back in to help out young Rangers

Deeping Rangers captain Spencer Tinkler welcomed the impact made by striker Jamie Graham after claiming four points out of six over Easter.

Rangers followed up their 1-1 draw at AFC Kempston Rovers with a win at Boston Town on Easter Monday

Lee Orrey put the Poachers ahead after five minutes but Tinkler’s 26th-minute penalty squared the contest.

Jamie Graham then netted the 76th-minute Rangers winner to seal the win against his former club, although there was a late sting in the tale for Deeping when central defender Joe Braithwaite was sent off alongside Boston’s Michael Wood.

Tinkler said: “We showed great character after going 1-0 down and we deserved to get the three points.

“Jamie is massive for us and when he plays, he gives us something else that none of the other lads have got.

“He doesn’t score many goals, especially with his right foot, so he was delighted on a personal note.”

Deeping: Bircham, Carter, Smith, Tinkler, Holland, Braithwaite, Wright (Avis), Flack, Graham, Hamid (Goldson-Williams), Sparrow (Palmer).
