Holbeach United will sign a right-back to replace Jonny Allen.
The defender suffered a broken leg last weekend and the Tigers are already looking at transfer targets.
Joint-manager John Chand said: “Jonny is bearing up under the circumstances and he seems to be in fairly good spirits.
“But there is no doubt that we need to sign a right-back as Jonny will be a massive loss for us. He’s a big player to replace and it’s not ideal.
“So we will have to bring in another player, possibly in time for Saturday. We have shown an interest in a few targets.”
Holbeach have been linked with a loan move for Corby Town defender Jamie Anton, previously at Leicester City.
Spalding United manager Pat Rayment added: “I wish Holbeach all the best but I really felt for Jonny with another horrific injury after he missed the majority of the season with us due to a dislocated kneecap.”
