Deeping Rangers 2 Holbeach United 2 (90 mins; Holbeach won 3-2 on penalties)

A penalty shoot-out win took Holbeach United through to the last eight of the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.

Ben Brown’s 17th-minute goal put the Tigers ahead.

Charlie Coulson replied after 48 and 55 minutes but Holbeach were back on terms within a minute as Jonny Allen’s cross was deflected past keeper Danny Bircham by defender Matt Holland.

Rangers were up against it from the start in the shoot-out when Spencer Tinkler’s kick bounced off the underside of the bar.

The next three kicks were converted, David Burton-Jones scoring for Deeping and Lee Dube and Lee Beeson for Holbeach.

Jamie Graham failed for Rangers before Ollie Pinner netted the third Holbeach kick.

The pressure was on youngster Matt Carter but he netted and then Gary King squandered the chance to seal Holbeach’s win.

Keeper Bircham took the last Deeping spot-kick and he too struck the crossbar.
