Holbeach United hope to extend their unbeaten run to four matches in all competitions when they visit Eynesbury Rovers in the UCL Premier Division on Saturday.

But joint manager John Chand is warning his side not to underestimate their Cambridgeshire opponents, despite Rovers being in the bottom half of the league table.

The Tigers came out 2-1 winners when the sides last met in the league at Carter’s Park just seven weeks ago, thanks to a brace from in-form striker Jamie Clarke.

Chand said: “Eynesbury Rovers are one of the best teams we’ve played this season and it’s always difficult going over there.

“It would have been nice to have had a midweek game but we’ve had a good rest and we’ll go again on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, Chand has responded to interest from South Holland rivals Spalding United in versatile defender Jonny Allen, part of the Tulips title-winning side last season.

“If Spalding United are interested and come in for him, then we won’t stand in Jonny’s way,” Chand said.

“But I’ve spoken to him and he said that he doesn’t want to go.”
