Jamie Stevens and Josh Ford were sent off as Holbeach United crashed to a seventh successive defeat.

They were both dismissed before the break at Leicester Nirvana who remain on top of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

With one game to go in the title race, Nirvana are ahead of AFC Kempston Rovers on goal-difference.

That advantage was extended by tonight’s 7-0 demolition of the Tigers - even though the home team missed a penalty following Stevens’ red card.

Matt Melbourne opened the scoring and, after Ford was given his marching orders for a professional foul, Shaquille Master doubled the lead.

In the second half Melbourne completed his hat-trick with Nirvana adding further goals from Reece Morris, Master and Jordan Nelson.

Meanwhile, Harrowby United completed their home programme with a victory but Deeping Rangers’ season can’t end quickly enough after a 2016 downturn in fortunes.

Matt Clarke’s goal on the half-hour mark had the Arrows ahead at the interval then Stefan Bilyk’s brace after 63 and 69 minutes wrapped up the victory.
