Jamie Clarke will make his Holbeach United debut on Saturday – and joint-manager Graham Drury wants to sign another striker.
They have previously worked together at Corby Town and Stamford while Clarke also played for King’s Lynn Town and Ilkeston.
Drury admits the Tigers are looking for a forward to convert more chances into goals – despite the prolific early-season form of Lee Dube.
Drury said: “We’ve signed Jamie from Quorn because we hope we can get the best out of him.
“We need someone who can hold up play and take chances.
“We’re looking for another striker and it could be a case of two in, two out.
“We can’t keep a big squad and we need to stay within a budget.
“We had two strikers on our wish list because we have been creating seven or eight chances and only scoring one or two goals.”
Holbeach are aiming to hit back after their 100 per cent league record was ended by Huntingdon Town.
This weekend they head to Wellingborough Town who claimed three successive wins after losing their opening five games of the season.
Danny Spencer is ruled out but Craig Parker and Stacy Cartwright will return after being rested for Wednesday night’s 2-1 home win over Sleaford Town in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.
