Spalding boss Pat Rayment has tipped many of last year’s United Counties League title-winning squad to perform even better at a higher level next season.
Rayment believes the Evo-Stik South will bring the best out of his squad as they look to launch another promotion bid.
He said: “The UCL, with no disrespect, can drag you down, and some of our players will thrive at a higher level.
“I am convinced nobody has yet seen the best of Mark Jones while we have only seen Andy Tidswell playing at 70 per cent fitness so I am confident we will see the proper Andy Tidswell next season.
“If lads like Lee Beeson and Jamie Thurlbourne can get fit next season they could do very well for us and I think Lewis Webb can also do a lot better.
“Chris Hall, once he has developed in that sitting role, will be a better player and the fact we have brought in so many quality signings can only help to bring out the best of our squad.
“The great thing about bringing in so many quality signings is it will push those already here to raise their standards.”
