Bourne Town manager Rafa Mazzarella was far from dejected after his side’s 2-0 loss at league leaders Peterborough Sports in UCL Division One.

Karl Gibbs headed the home side in front after 33 minutes and debutant Andreaas Pantiga extended the lead two minutes before half time.

Mazzarella said: “We pretty much played a UCL Premier side that are putting some money out there to get promoted.

“We were in the game for long periods but lacked composure in the final third and when we tried to force that final ball, we ended up getting it wrong.

“But it shows the improvement and progress we’ve made that in the last two months, we’ve played three out of the top five but we never dead and buried in amy of them.

“It’s just about getting some of our better players to get used to this level and then, hopefully, the performances will come.”
