Former Bourne Town shot-stopper Peter Grummitt is on the shortlist to be named as Nottingham Forest’s greatest ever goalkeeper.

He made 352 appearances in the 1960s after signing from the Wakes, his hometown club.

Season-ticket holders are voting this month as part of Forest’s 150th celebrations but Grummitt faces strong competition from Harry Linacre, Peter Shilton, Steve Sutton and Mark Crossley.

Grummitt was placed 33rd in Forest’s all-time top 50 list put together by the Nottingham Post.
