HOLBEACH United moved into the semi-final of the Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy with a 2-0 win at Boston Town on Tuesday night, while Deeping Rangers cruised to a 4-1 UCL League Cup success at Eynesbury Rovers.
A second-half double from red-hot Andrew Tidswell (58 & 69) was enough to seal a third win of the season over the Poachers – and book an extremely winnable-looking last four clash with Bourne Town.
Meanwhile, Rangers eased into the second round of the League Cup at Hall Road. New signing Scott Ginty made a dream start with a goal inside first minute of his debut, but his bow was cut short by injury soon after.
Further strikes from David Burton-Jones (41) and Josh Moreman (43) put Tuncay Korkmaz’s mean 3-0 up at the break, before Mark Jones’ 20th of the season (46) put the result beyond doubt.
A late Shane Fox consolation was all the Division One side could muster.
More to follow.
