HOLBEACH United made it three UCL Premier Division wins in a row by beating Thrapston Town 3-0 on Saturday, while Deeping Rangers saw off Desborough Town 2-0 and struggling Spalding United lost 2-1 at unbeaten Long Buckby.

Late goals from Luke Kennedy (penalty), Shaun Keeble and Loz Lambley were enough for the Tigers, who completed a second away success in four days to stay in the top six.

It’s also three wins on the spin for Deeping, who were buoyed by another double from red-hot Mark Jones. It’s now 16 goals this term for the hitman, which has alerted Football League side Crewe Alexandra.

The same can’t be said for the Tulips though, who have failed to register a league win in any of their last six outings.

Ryan O’Loughlin did hand Andy Stanhope’s charges a shock lead at Station Road, but second-half goals from Russ Dunkley and Fazel Koriya made it ten wins from team for the Bucks.

There was more woe for Bourne Town too, as they were hammered 4-0 by Eynesbury Rovers in the UCL League Cup at the Abbey Lawn.

In the Peterborough and District Premier Division, strikes from Andy Law and Tom Gosling earned Pinchbeck United a 2-0 win over Eye Sports.

They are now four points clear of rivals Moulton Harrox, who drew 1-1 at Peterborough Sports thanks to Jamie Cartlidge’s effort.

Deeping Rangers Reserves took advantage of Harrox’s slip up to move into fourth place, with Anthony Graves and Matthew Atkins firing them to a 2-1 triumph at Coates Athletic.

Elsewhere, Holbeach United Reserves, Long Sutton Athletic and Sutton Bridge United all earned wins in the Spalding Inter Service Cup.

The Tigers’ second string beat Crowland Town Reserves 4-1 on Friday night, while Sutton saw off Gedney Hill 3-0 and Bridge knocked off Holbeach Bank 6-3.
