FOOTBALL: Late Luke catches Eye

EYE SPORTS 0 PINCHBECK UNITED 1 (Wilson 85): A LATE Luke Wilson header guided Pinchbeck to an impressive Saturday success.

United bossed the Peterborough Premier Division game from start to finish, but had to wait until the closing stages to wrap up the points.

Dan Woods hit the post and player/boss Ian Dunn saw an effort cleared off the line as Eye frustrated their visitors.

But Wilson met a Jimmy McDonnell cross late on to keep Pinchbeck within a win of top spot.

A delighted Dunn said: “In the end we got what we deserved. I felt the goal was always coming and never really saw them as a threat.

“One of the most pleasing aspects of the performance was that we made a good side look pretty ordinary. Keeping another clean sheet was important too. Confidence is sky high in the camp at the moment.”

• GOALS from Ashley Coddington, Ben Allen, Steve Mastin and Tom Panton were enough to secure Moulton Harrox a 4-3 home win over Parson Drove on Saturday.
