DEEPING Rangers kicked off their pre-season schedule with a 3-2 win at Mildenhall on Saturday, while Spalding United were held 1-1 by Moulton Harrox.

A brace from Mark Jones and Josh Moreman’s debut goal were enough for Tuncay Korkmaz’s Deeping, who face Coates on Thursday (7.45pm).

Meanwhile, Ryan O’Loughlin’s late spot-kick secured a draw for the Tulips at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

Jamie Cartlidge nodded Harrox ahead eight minutes from time, but O’Loughlin won and converted a last minute penalty ensure the spoils were shared.

Spalding midfielder Elliot Dent broke his toe in the first half.
