Dan Flack will reject a chance to rejoin ambitious Holbeach in order to chase his own ambitions at Deeping Rangers.
Flack, who helped Holbeach to the UCL title two seasons ago, was wanted back at Carter’s Park but he is happy to remain with Deeping.
Returning Holbeach boss John Chand made no secret of the fact he would love Flack back at the club, saying: “He is one of the most committed players there is and is a great guy.”
Flack said: “I have decided to stay at Deeping. I know ‘Chandy’ very well and I know he will have a strong team next season.
“When I decided to come to Deeping last season I wanted to try to win a trophy here and after the UCL Cup final everyone wants it even more now.”
Rangers led 2-0 in that cup final against Huntingdon only to lose 5-4 after extra-time.
