Tuncay Korkmaz admits this season is bringing “a totally different approach” from Deeping Rangers.
The manager has added a number of teenagers to the first-team squad, including Charlie Coulson who has got three goals in the last two games.
Korkmaz said: “We have got a smaller squad and this is a totally different approach with the young players.
“It will take time for them to get used to first-team games and we’ve got other players who will get better when they gain experience at this level.
“There is still plenty of room for improvement but we don’t want to change our winning mentality either.”
Deeping are back home on Saturday when they face Oxhey Jets in the FA Vase. Victory will earn a place in the third round and £1,200 prize money.
The Hertfordshire club are currently mid-table in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
