UCL Premier Division: Eynesbury Rovers 0 Holbeach United 2

Hot-shot Jamie Clarke netted his 11th goal of the season to send Holbeach United on their way to another victory.

Clarke finished well following a fine move involving Jonny Allen and Lee Beeson in the 24th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 half-time lead.

Beeson added the second five minutes into the second half after Lee Dube had beaten two men down the left and delivered a quality cross to the back post.

Holbeach lost influential midfielder Jake Duffy during the warm-up but he is expected to be fit for Saturday’s FA Vase clash at London Colney.

Joint-manager Graham Drury said: “He’s had a dodgy ankle and said he was fit, but we could tell during the warm-up that he wasn’t right so we took him out as a precaution, with the FA Vase in mind.

“Eynesbury isn’t an easy place to go so it was a good result and it was very pleasing to keep a clean sheet. We don’t keep enough of them.”

Holbeach: Conroy, Allen, Parker, Steadman, Miller (Brown), Spencer, Beeson, Palmer (King), Dube, Clarke (Pinner), Warfield.
