Spalding have swooped to bring Peter Bore back to the club after full-back James Cullingworth went under the knife.
Cullingworth joined from Belper recently but will now miss the start of the season due to an ankle operation.
Tulips boss Rayment has acted by signing former Grimsby Town player Bore, who spent eight games on loan from Boston last season.
The 26-year-old, who made 153 appearances for hometown club Grimsby, ended last season at King’s Lynn.
Bore can play as a full-back or on the wing and Rayment is delighted to have signed him.
He said: “James will miss all of pre-season and the start of the season but I couldn’t have a better replacement than Peter.
“We have a very good right-hand side now with Peter, Julian Kelly and Lee Beeson.”
