Three goals in the final 20 minutes gave Bourne Town’s 5-2 defeat at Raunds Town a rather flattering look.
Bourne fought back after finding themselves two goals in arrears at the interval with efforts from Dan Smith on 48 minutes and Jake Mason on 68.
Wakes boss Rafa Mazzarella said: “Having clawed it back to 2-2, I was very disappointed with the way we capitulated in the final 20 minutes.
“Once we conceded the third goal it completely knocked the stuffing out of us.
“Our squad is being really tested at the moment as we are so thin on the ground in terms of numbers.”
Tonight, Bourne Town host Harrowby United in the first round of the Lincs Senior Trophy.
