Bourne’s hopes of picking up all three points and easing their relegation fears were frustrated in this stalemate at Abbey Lawn.

The Wakes looked dead and buried a few weeks ago but have responded with some impressive results to boost their chances of avoiding the bottom two.

Three wins on the road have given Darren Munon’s side a chance but they really needed to keep up their momentum with a home success.

The visitors went into the game on the back of a poor run of five games without a win but any hopes of Bourne addin to their woes were ended in a dismal clash.

It was a game of few chances but the best of the opportunities went to the visitors.

They did manage to find the net only for the effot to be ruled out for offside.

The draw leaves Bourne two points adrift of Blackstones but the Wakes do have a game in hand.

Bourne, who host Burton tomorrow, travel to Blackstones on Thursday, April 24 for what could prove to be a vital relegation clash.
