Moulton Harrox are on top form going into their first test in the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup.

They maintained a 100 per cent record in the ChromaSport & Trophies Peterborough & District League’s Premier Division with an eighth win.

Ben Allen, Joe Townsend and Tom Cardall earned a 3-0 home victory over Thorney last weekend to keep Harrox two points clear at the top of the table.

They head to Birchwood United on Saturday in the Junior Cup having lost in extra-time in last season’s final.

Third-placed Holbeach United Reserves won 9-4 at Riverside thanks to goals from Tom Gosling (3), Gary Chappell (2), Kieran Rose (2), Robbie Cundy and Paul Madrejewak.

Langtoft United made a bright start when Dan Morris put them in front but Whittlesey Athletic got five second-half goals in response.

Bottom-markers Crowland Town lost 7-2 away to Netherton United.

Wyberton Reserves still head the Boston League’s Premier Division table following a comfortable 6-1 win at Old Leake.

The marksmen were Shane Brackenbury (2), Nicky Syndercombe (2), Reece Beauchamp and Liam Shinn.

Swineshead matched the leaders’ score at Ruskington Rovers.

Two strikers claimed all of the goals with Bert Snaith hitting four while Richard Barker struck the other two.

In the Challenge Cup first round Sutterton were unsettled by Holbeach Bank’s physical approach in a 3-1 away win provided by Tyler Sones (2) and Ian Woodberry.

The reply was credited to Steve Carey.
