LINCOLNSHIRE FA: Conference is great opportunity for all grassroots coaches

editorial image

The aim of this summer’s conference is to support grassroots football coaches within Lincolnshire.

It is a great opportunity for coaches to further their knowledge around certain coaching topics within the game with the purpose of sending each coach who attends home enthused to continue coaching for another season, putting into practice what they’ve learnt and taken away from the different workshops being delivered.

The workshops being delivered on the day are niche topics within football that are rarely discussed on standard football coaching CPD events.

This makes the conference a unique and exciting prospect for Lincolnshire FA and all those in attendance on the day.

The workshops being delivered on the day were chosen by Lincolnshire grassroots football coaches who completed a small survey earlier this year to support the designing and development of this event.

Based upon the results and suggestions Lincolnshire FA received from its grassroots coaches in the county, the workshops available to attend on the day are as follows:

- Understanding The FA’s Coaching Pathway

- How to Include Goalkeepers in your Coaching Sessions

- An Introduction to Futsal

- How to Engage and Develop the Grassroots Female Player

- Managing Parents

- Identifying Talent in Disability Football Players

On top of the learning and individual benefits that coaches will receive by attending, this will also be a great opportunity for FA Charter Standard clubs within the county to complete their annual CPD commitment that’s required to maintain their award.

The format of the day will mean that each coach will attend two workshops of their choice (two hours each), one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Date: Sunday, June 25

Time: 9am to 4pm

Venue: Priory City of
Lincoln Academy, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln LN6 0EP

Licenced Coaches Club CPD Accreditation: four hours.
