Danny Cairns scored twice as Moulton Harrox hammered Uppingham 5-1 in the ChromaSport and Trophies Peterborough and District League Division One.

Phillip Groves, Joe Townsend and Ian Bradbury – who was also booked – got the other goals as sixth-placed Harrox enjoyed one of their best results of the season and they could yet finish in the top four if they win their last two matches.

Edgars Buzos earned a point for Pinchbeck in a lively clash at Oakham.

His goal secured a 1-1 in a game which ended with 19 players with Pinchbeck pair Ricky Dickinson and Oliver Gedney plus an Oakham player being sent off.

The result should be enough for Pinchbeck to stay up while Crowland Town are 14th after losing 3-1 at home to runners-up Netherton, Nathan Ginty getting the Crowland goal.

Deeping Rangers Reserves went down 4-0 at Sawtry while in Division One Holbeach Reserves maintained their excellent form with a 3-0 victory at Kings Cliffe.

It wasn’t such a good day for Long Sutton though as they were on the wrong end of a 6-0 hammering from Ketton.

David Ponsford’s double helped Gedney Hill to a 4-1 victory over Guyhirn in Division Two.

Luke Baines and Lee Jackson also scored for Gedney while in the same division Pinchbeck Reserves drew 2-2 with Coates Athletic Reserves.

Tydd St Mary were denied by two second-half goals in the ChromaSport and Trophies League Shield at PSL in Peterborough.

Tydd St Mary, who lie fifth in Division Four, took the lead on the stroke of half-time thanks to Jeremy Barron but Oundle Town Reserves, who are enjoying a fine season in Division Five, fought back to win.
