Extra effort sends Harrox into semis

Moulton Harrox needed extra-time to book a semi-final spot in the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup.

They saw off RM Imp 3-1 thanks to Billy King, an own-goal and substitute Macauley Grimwood.

Harrox have been drawn at home to Brumby or Spalding Town on February 14.

The other semi-final will be between Hykeham Town and Swineshead Institute.

Swineshead still proudly fly the flag for The Boston Saturday League following a 2-1 win at Harrowby Saints.

Swineshead needed two goal-line clearances from set-pieces but opened the scoring on 35 minutes when Bert Snaith broke down the right flank and crossed to the far post where Mark Sharman was able to slot home.

Jack Houghton doubled the lead 20 minutes into the second half before Harrowby pulled one back.

Four second-half goals by Pinchbeck United beat Riverside in the Peterborough & District League’s Premier Division.

They were shared between Tom Gosling, Oliver Maltby, Lewis McKue and Elliott Price.

The Division One derby saw Sutton Bridge United win 3-2 at Long Sutton Athletic.

Ben English (2) and Ben Partridge ensured Matthew Stancer’s double came on the losing side.

Daniel Pick struck four times in Baston’s 5-0 victory at Peterborough ICA Sports Reserves.

Spalding Town kept up their title bid in Division Three with a 5-2 home win over Kings Cliffe Reserves.

On target were Tomasz Rabiega (2), Martin Sandall (2) and Markus Parry.

Holbeach Bank won 4-0 against bottom-of-the-table Leverington Sports A in Division Four with a double from Ashley Sheedy backed up by Lee Hunt and Daniel Langford.

Division Five leaders Whaplode Drove had Jake Baines and Joe Strickland on the scoresheet to edge out Parkway Eagles Reserves who had two men sent off.

Spalding United Reserves won 4-0 at Farcet United in the Intermediate Shield thanks to Jake Farrell (2), Edgaras Buzas and Jack Wycherley.
