Holbeach Town under 13s ended league leaders Deeping Rangers’ a 100 per cent record in a thrilling 2-2 at Outgang Road.
The Tigers were on the back foot almost immediately when the opposition capitalised on a defensive mix-up to take a 1-0 lead.
But Holbeach persevered against a well-organised Deeping side before Liam Scales got past two defenders and the Rangers keeper to knock the ball home.
In the second half, Deeping scored early through Nathan Pickering who lobbed the ball calmly into the Holbeach net.
But the Tigers showed fantastic team spirit and when the ball dropped invitingly on the edge of the Rangers box, Liam Scales thundered home a stunning half-volley to bring Holbeach back level.
Despite late pressure from Deeping, Holbeach showed they could compete and earned the draw.
