Moulton Harrox climbed to the top of the Peterborough Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Riverside on Tuesday night.
A header from skipper Bobby Patterson and a Dan Woods penalty were enough for Moulton at Broad Lane.
They’re now three points clear of second-placed Peterborough Sports Parkway with two games in hand.
Next up are two crunch games with third-placed Netherton on Saturday (home, 2pm) and then a trip to Sincil Bank on Tuesday for the Lincs Junior Cup final against Gainsborough Town.
• Tom Ruck fired both goals as Pinchbeck United picked up a 2-0 Premier Division win at Deeping Rangers Reserves on Tuesday to ease their relegation fears.
Crowland Town also picked up a decent 1-1 draw at Ramsey Town to stay on-course for a fine fourth-placed finish.
• A Dave Wilson hat-trick fired rampant Holbeach United Reserves to a dominant 6-0 win over Tydd St Mary as they lifted the Spalding Inter-Services Trophy on Saturday.
Davy Shepherd, Jack Smith and Gary Piper also netted in the final, with keeper Adam Kirk pulling off a penalty save from Steve Cousins while the game was still alive at 3-0.
Tydd did have plenty of reason to feel aggrieved despite the score, with Aaron Parker seeing a 19th-minute opener harshly ruled out for offside.
They also had Mark Greenacre sent off for a poor tackle on the hour after he was adjudged to be the last defender.
To round off their misery, Parker had another goal chalked off late on.
