Dan Cole fired an unlikely last-minute leveller as Pinchbeck United earned a 1-1 draw against rivals Moulton Harrox on Tuesday.
The South Holland duo battled out a tight clash at Broad Lane in the Peterborough Premier Division – but leaders Moulton will consider it two points dropped.
It took the hosts 89 minutes to break down the defending champions, before Andy Law’s cross allowed substitute Tom Gosling to fire what looked like a dramatic winner.
But Pinchbeck, who are 44 points behind their perennial rivals, refused to lie down and notched an injury-time equaliser through Cole – one of the few survivors of last year’s title-winning side.
The point edges Harrox two points clear of second-placed Peterborough Sport Parkway ahead of Saturday’s trip to Whittlesey Blue Star (2pm).
Harrox squad: Kenealy, Bradbury, Cairns, Clay, Gedney, Groves,King, Panton, Patterson, Townsend, Woods, Law, Gosling.
