ASPIRING youngsters can still sign up for three-day soccer camps during the school summer holidays.

The aim of Soccerstar is to develop techniques, skills and knowledge with a view to improving participants’ chances of progressing through the football pyramid.

All children aged from five to 16 are eligible to sign up at a cost of £40.

Head coach Domenico Genovese said: “We have the resources for players to gain experience in new coaching methods as used by Premier and Football League clubs and give them the opportunity to fulfil their dreams.”

The camps include expert training from Genovese – an ex-football league player and UEFA ‘A’ licensed coach – using the state of the art training equipment with each player receiving a comprehensive training diary.

There will also be numerous scenarios for the kids to undertake, including a ‘Ronaldo penalty challenge’, ‘the Messi dribble challenge’ and the ‘Rooney goal strike challenge’.

Genovese, formerly of Peterborough United, said: “We want to help all those aspiring players that want to progress, but don’t ever happen to be in the right place at the right time.”

Course dates (others held in Peterborough, Whittlesey and Oundle): July 25-27 at Spalding Utd (Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field); August 8-10 at Deeping Rangers (Outgang Road).
