Young Dons under-11s kept their impressive unbeaten run going with a 4-2 victory against North Lindum Hawks over the festive period.

In cold and windy conditions, the Dons were slow to get into their stride but took the lead when Kieran Greetham latched onto a clearance by Matthew Baxter and scored with style.

George Thornley then converted a Brendan Flowers cross for 2-0, but Hawks pulled one back before half time.

A number of top saves from David Lowe kept Dons ahead after the break, before an own goal made it 3-1 in their favour.

Not done there, Flowers then made it 4-2 to the Donington side with a neat finish.

There was still time for Hawks to pull a second back, but it was already game over.
