Goalkeeper Leigh Overton picked up three awards when Holbeach United held their presentation evening at their Carter’s Park ground on Saturday.
Overton, who played every minute of every game last season, received the manager’s player of the year, players’ player of the year and first team clubman of the year awards after helping the Tigers to a mid-table posiion in the UCL.
Tom Waumsley received the leading goalscorer’s trophy while Fraser Bayliss was named young player of the year after a fine season on the wing for the Tigers.
Simon Lambe was named reserve team manager’s player of the year after impressing boss Omar Joof.
Dean Elston picked up the players’ player of the year accolade while Macauley Grimwood, who enjoyed an excellent campaign in front of goal, was named young player of the year.
Grimwood and Tom Brooks shared the reserve team top-scorer award, the pair banging in 40 goals between them to help the Tigers second string earn promotion to the ChromaSport & Trophies Peterborough and District League Premier Division.
Goalkeeper and club secretary Adam Kirk was named second team clubman of the year while the social club committee chose Gary Chappell as their player of the year for his impressive displays for the reserves.
