Spalding Grammar School has celebrated an extremely successful football season.
Their eight teams played a total of 66 matches, winning 35 and scoring 199 goals.
The senior first team had a steady season in their league, finishing sixth and losing cruelly on penalties in the semi final of the LB Cup.
The senior second team had a transition year in which a large squad of players were rotated in preparation for next season, finishing eighth in their league.
The U12-U16 teams entered the South Holland southern league again.
The U16 team were disappointed to finish second to Deeping in their league, but the U15s (pictured) followed three difficult seasons with an outstanding performance to claim league victory. They took this one step further by beating Boston Grammar 1-0 in the final, with Reagan Brown scoring the vital goal in extra time.
The U14 team also won their league, and overcame last season’s final disappointment by beating William Lovell 3-2 in the final. Substitute Sam Bedwell-Byatt scored a devastating hat-trick.
The U13s were the most successful, dominating their league and accruing a goal difference of plus-37 in nine games.
Goals from Kieran Hamilton and Oliver Green sealed their 2-0 final victory against Boston Grammar.
Finally, the U12s won the southern league in their first ever season and lost a tight final 3-2, also to Boston Grammar.
