FOOTBALL: Tigers set for Saints semi

ST IVES Town will be Holbeach United’s opponents in the UCL League Cup semi-final after beating Bugbrooke St Michaels 5-1 on Tuesday night.

The Tigers will host the last four clash, with the date still to be confirmed. John Chand’s Holbeach saw off the Saints 2-0 in the Carter’s Park league clash between the duo back on January 2.

Premier Division leaders King’s Lynn Town welcome Peterborough Northern Star in the other semi. Lynn cruised past Thrapston Town 4-0 on Tuesday, while Northern Star enjoyed a 4-1 triumph over S & L Corby.

Holbeach are on-course for two cup finals, as they visit lowly Bourne Town tonight (Wednesday) in the Lincs FA Senior Trophy semi-final (7.45pm).
