FOOTBALL: Postponements galore ahead of weekend
THE prospect of any football this weekend is looking increasingly bleak after Thursday night’s snow.
Holbeach United’s derby date with Spalding United was officially called off on Friday afternoon, while Deeping Rangers’ home tie with Yaxley has also been postponed.
Bourne Town’s home clash with Wellingborough Whitworth and the rest of the United Counties League schedule are also hit by the cold snap.
The same can be said for the Peterborough League, with every league fixture already snowed off. Pinchbeck United’s Lincs Junior Cup semi-final at Market Rasen has been postponed too.
No junior football games in the PJAL will take place, while both the Boston and District and Spalding Sunday League are unlikely to see any action.
